HTML & CSS: The Good Parts |
By Ben Henick 2010 (O’Reilly)
This book seems to be written to address those moments when you’re trying to accomplish a specific goal and the general tutorials on HTML and CSS don’t seem to be working. The problem with this book is that every time I turned to it for guidance I found myself searching, but not finding an appropriate solution for the problem at hand. I get the sense that the author tried to pinpoint a series of more common advanced tips and tricks to address those moments when web designers encounter struggles. So, every time I hit a snag I would look for answer here, but ended up closing the book - still searching. I do work on sites that are more unique in nature and perhaps this book is intended for more formulaic strategies. All in all, not a keeper for me. |
